I have consciously decided to abandon the production of one-off artworks in favour of developing a series of projects that span a period of several years. This gives me the opportunity to engage in a much more consistent and deeper analysis and development of the issues of concern in my work (T. Ostojić in New Feminism: Words of Feminism, Queer and Networking Conditions, 2008)
…as my early works were very intimate (from the age of 17, and in my early 20es), during the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s, my work took a turn of becoming very direct, activist and engaged, and it remained so in the first decade of the 21st century…
…in the second decade, of the 21st century (till now) and particularly in the 4th and 5th decade of my life, I’ve been holding space for the others, and my practice has been community oriented and feminist…
…now in the third decade of the 21st century, and the 4th decade of my artistic practice, and the beginning of the 6th decade of my life, I am as well increasingly concerned with the traces, temporalities, ageing, women’s experience, fragility, decay, waste, cracks, and wellbeing… and I am haunted by desire to work again in material (mud, earth, textile, found clothes)…
